The tool is designed to measure internal bore and bend radii of pipelines with various diameters.
MFL ILI pigs employ strong magnets to magnetize the pipe wall. Positioned between these magnetic poles are tri-axial hall sensors which detect flux leakage resulting from irregularities.
The tool is designed for pipeline control using the magnetic flux leakage determination technique with transverse magnetization.
